Africa’s city dwellers enjoy better livelihoods, higher quality of life, according to a new report

Despite growing rapidly, Africa’s cities have provided improved access to services, jobs and infrastructure for millions of people in the last 30 years compared to smaller communities, a new report finds. Africa’s Urbanisation Dynamics: The Economic Power of Africa’s Cities, launched on Tuesday, shows that urban areas in Africa have outperformed the countries in which they are located by higher margins than seen in other parts of the world.
